About the role

• As an expert in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking, support Pharmacists and other Healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services.
• Work with Primary and Secondary care health professionals to improve community health.
• Oversee and inspire the healthcare team to deliver patient-centred care.
• Support training of support team members, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
• Final accuracy check of dispensed items before they are supplied to patients.
• Oversee Dispensing Team Members when asked by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Prepare, supply, and check prescriptions, providing advice and support.
• Take medicine histories from patients and advise on treatment options.
• Provide advice to patients and support others in medicine advice, referring complex queries to Pharmacists as appropriate.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and recognized Accuracy Checking Qualification.
• Passion for patient and customer care.
• Ability to deliver high standards efficiently.
• Experience in overseeing dispensing teams and supporting the Healthcare Team.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfortable with digital technology and embracing new tools.
• Willingness to continue learning and develop professionally.
• Interest in becoming an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician with Boots.
