About the role

• Supporting Pharmacists and healthcare professionals in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking to ensure safe and efficient pharmaceutical services.
• Working with primary and secondary care health professionals to improve community health.
• Overseeing and inspiring the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Supporting training of support team members, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Responsibilities include:

• Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
• Performing final accuracy checks of dispensed items before supply.
• Overseeing Dispensing Team Members as directed by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Preparing, supplying, and checking prescriptions, providing advice and support.
• Taking medicine histories from patients and advising on treatment options.
• Providing advice to patients and coaching others on medicines and when to refer complex queries to Pharmacists.

Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC and recognized Accuracy Checking Qualification.
• Passion for patient and customer care.
• Ability to work efficiently to high standards.
• Experience overseeing dispensing teams and supporting healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Comfort with digital tools and technology.
• Willingness to continue learning and developing skills.
• Interest in becoming an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician with Boots.
