About the role

• Supporting Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking to ensure safe and efficient pharmaceutical services.
• Working with Primary and Secondary care health professionals to improve community health.
• Overseeing and inspiring the healthcare team to deliver patient-centred care.
• Supporting the training of support team members, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Responsibilities include:

• Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
• Final accuracy check of dispensed items before supply to patients.
• Overseeing Dispensing Team Members as directed by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Preparation, supply, and checking of prescriptions, providing advice and support.
• Taking medicine histories and advising on treatment options.
• Providing advice to patients and coaching others on medicines and referrals for complex queries.

What you’ll need:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and Accuracy Checking Qualification.
• Passion for patient and customer care.
• Ability to deliver high standards efficiently.
• Experience overseeing a dispensing team and supporting healthcare professionals.
• Teamwork skills and digital proficiency.
• Willingness to learn and develop in your role.
