Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in delivering safe, patient-centred pharmaceutical services within the community. You will help oversee the dispensing team, perform accuracy checks on dispensed items, and contribute to staff training and development.

In this multi-disciplinary role you will take medicine histories, advise patients on treatment options, and coach colleagues to handle more complex queries.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Pharmacy Regulator (GPhC) and the recognised Accuracy Checking Qualification.
• Overseeing Dispensing Team Members when requested by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Ability to advise patients and coach others to handle medicines queries and refer complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
• Final accuracy check of dispensed items before supply to the patient.
• Overseeing the dispensing team as requested by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Preparation, supply and checking of prescriptions with patient advice.
• Taking medicine histories from patients and advising on treatment options.
