Job summary

Boots is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in delivering safe and efficient pharmaceutical services. You will oversee dispensing activities, provide patient advice, and help train the dispensing team to support high standards of care.

The role focuses on accuracy checking, medication preparation, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams across Boots’ UK network.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Pharmacy Regulator (GPhC) and recognised Accuracy Checking Qualification.
• Commitment to patient and customer care and high standards.
• Ability to lead and support the dispensing team within a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting.
• Comfortable using new technology and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Order medicines, check, dispense, and endorse prescriptions.
• Oversee final accuracy check of dispensed items to free up Pharmacists for added services.
• Oversee dispensing team when requested by the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Involved in preparation, supply and checking of prescriptions and giving treatment advice.
• Take medicines histories from patients and advise on treatment options.
• Coach others on medicines' advice and refer complex queries to the Pharmacist.
