Job summary

Emberwood Restaurant in Bath invites a friendly host to welcome guests, manage reservations, and support the floor, bar and lounge teams with excellent communication.

You will need hospitality experience, knowledge of service and a keen eye for detail. The role includes evenings and weekends, with training and opportunities within the Francis Hotel Bath group.

Who Are We Looking For?

A host in Emberwood will be passionate about all people, aswell as warm hospitality with an attention to detail, they should haveknowledge of service, food and drinks and an understanding of what make afantastic restaurant experience.

They should be able to work well within a team, supporting thefloor team and managers guiding guests throughout the restaurant bar and loungewith brilliant communication and organisation skills.

They should have experience in a hospitality and be familiarwith a restaurant environment, knowledge of a booking system will be importantand being comfortable both working on the restaurant floor and dealing withemails and phone calls.

The host role encompasses elements from reception,reservations, function planningand revenue/sales.

What Are The Key Responsibilities?

Guest Interaction and Repeat Business built on trust andexperiences.

Service Standards of the Highest Quality in relation to ouroffering.

Proving the welcome to guests ensuring all details regardingreservations are accurate and communicating the flow of guests to floor teamand managers

Receive and input reservation via telephone and email andfield all incoming and outgoing communication in Emberwood

Responsible for the safe delivery offood and drink, the correct conduct in relation to allergies and dietaryrequirements

Working with all teams within the Hotel, to ensure all staffand guests receive warmth and generosity.

Work alongside our marketing team where promotions, functionsor seasonal events require

Comfortable using or learning standard hospitality systemssuch as SevenRooms, OpenTable, Excel, Word, Property managementsystems andvoucher redemption portals.

Assist the head hosts in function and party booking

Elevate the guest experience through with a curious andcreative approach to make a experience memorable

Building profiles on guest based on their preferences toelevate future experiences building genuine rapport
