TC Group in Letchworth is seeking an Accounts Trainee to begin a career in accountancy and finance. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, support a varied client portfolio, and assist with accounts preparation, VAT and tax returns while developing an understanding of business operations.

Qualifications

• Motivated to pursue a career in accounting and AAT study.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 6 or equivalent.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and responsible.
• Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Organised with attention to detail.
• Good computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Proactive and solutions-focused.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation of accounts, VAT returns, and corporate tax returns.
• Support bookkeeping and maintain financial records.
• Assist with self‑assessment tax returns.
• Liaise with clients on accounts and tax queries.
• Maintain client files and up‑to‑date documentation.
• Assist general admin duties related to client accounts.
• Learn accounting principles and software.
• Draft client communications and annual fee renewals.
