Job summary

TC Group in Letchworth is hiring an Accounts Semi-Senior to support a diverse client portfolio, working with managers to deliver high-quality accounting, tax and compliance services in a friendly, collaborative firm.

With a strong focus on development, you’ll have the chance to progress your ACA/ACCA, benefit from study support, and enjoy flexible holiday and hybrid working. AAT qualification or accounting degree is preferred, along with UK practice experience.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or hold an accounting related degree with willingness to study ACA or ACCA.
• 2 years' UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent organisational and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Preparing VAT returns and reconciling records.
• Producing bookkeeping records and management accounts.
• Building strong relationships with clients and handling queries.
• Liaising with HMRC and other external parties as required.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately within deadlines.
• Using accounting software and cloud-based systems.
• Staying up to date with accounting standards and tax regulations.
