Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare and review corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
• Review and submit VAT returns for clients.
• Be a key contact for clients, HMRC and colleagues, resolving queries.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Assist Managers and Partners with client projects and wider practice initiatives.

Accounts Senior - Helston - £32,000 - £40,000

A successful and well-respected accountancy practice in Helston is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its friendly and collaborative team. Working with a varied portfolio of businesses, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services whilst helping to support and develop more junior members of the team.

As Accounts Senior your duties will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing ongoing accounting and taxation support
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
• Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, HMRC and colleagues, resolving queries and providing practical advice
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Assisting Managers and Partners with client projects and wider practice initiatives

For this Accounts Senior position we're looking for:

ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified candidates, although applications are equally welcomed from qualified-by-experience accountants with a strong background in accountancy practice.

You’ll have excellent technical knowledge, experience managing a varied client portfolio and the confidence to build lasting relationships with clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a pro-active approach to client service will all be essential.
