Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding accountancy practice in Baildon to appoint an Accounts Senior / Semi-Senior to join its friendly and ambitious team.

Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and non-audit limited companies, while mentoring junior staff and visiting client premises as needed. The role is full-time and permanent.

Qualifications

• Recent practice experience with clients across varying industries.
• ACA or ACCA qualification, or qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for different business entities.

The Role

Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, you'll be responsible for preparing accounts and building strong client relationships while working closely with the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and non-audit limited companies.
• Managing a varied portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice environment.
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries.
• Preparing financial statements and working papers.
• Liaising directly with clients to deliver an excellent level of service.
• Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.
• Visiting client premises when required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Recent experience working within an accountancy practice.
• ACA or ACCA qualification, part qualification, or be qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach to work.
• The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
• A desire to develop your career within a growing and progressive practice.

Experience with the following software would be advantageous:

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as occasional travel to client premises is required.
