Wavelength Professional Recruitment Ltd in Northampton is supporting an independent accountancy firm to recruit an Accounts Junior or Semi-Senior with at least 18 months’ experience in practice. The role is predominantly accounts-based (≈80%) with some audit work (≈20%).

The ideal candidate is studying towards the AAT, ACA or ACCA and aims to take on increasing responsibility while developing broader audit skills.

Qualifications

• At least 18 months’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies.
• Willingness to study towards AAT/ACA/ACCA and develop responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Producing working papers and schedules.
• Assisting with corporation tax computations.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Assisting with audit assignments and fieldwork.
