Job summary

Christopher Brian Recruitment Limited is recruiting an Accounts Semi Senior for an expanding Northampton accountancy practice. You will work across a varied client portfolio, preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns while supporting management accounts and bookkeeping where needed.

The role offers progression toward senior levels with ongoing training and development. Ideal candidates will have UK practice experience, possibly AAT, and be studying ACA/ACCA, or gaining experience to progress

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing year-end statutory accounts for clients in a UK practice.
• Knowledge of VAT returns and management accounts beneficial.
• Ability to liaise with clients and handle day-to-day queries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Complete VAT returns for clients.
• Assist with management accounts and bookkeeping as needed.
• Liaise with clients and address day-to-day queries.
• Collaborate with senior team on complex assignments.
• Gradually take on more client responsibilities as you progress.

We're working with a growing accountancy practice in Northampton that’s looking for an Accounts Semi Senior to join its team.

The Role

You’ll work across a varied client portfolio, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Completing VAT returns
• Assisting with management accounts and bookkeeping where required
• Liaising directly with clients and dealing with day-to-day queries
• Working closely with senior team members on more complex assignments
• Gradually taking on greater client responsibility as you progress

About You

We’re keen to hear from anyone with previous accounts experience within a UK accountancy practice. You may be AAT qualified, studying ACA/ACCA, or developing your career through experience.
