Job summary

Wavelength Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Accountant in Northampton to join a growing, well-regarded firm. The role involves supporting a Partner, managing SME client portfolios, and advancing advisory work while maintaining balance with work-life commitments.

You should be ACA/ACCA qualified (or a finalist) with a general practice background and experience handling audit, accounting and tax for owner-managed businesses.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with a General Practice background.
• Experience handling audit, accounting and tax for small Owner Managed Businesses.
• Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to future growth of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of SME clients alongside a Partner.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax work.
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Assisting in business advisory work and future development of the firm.
• Audit experience would be beneficial but is a minor part of the role.
