The successful candidate will work on accounts preparation, audit, management accounts and taxation; ACA/ACCA studier or finalist encouraged; salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses.
• Some external audit experience.
• A basic understanding of corporation tax and personal tax computations.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage several assignments and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with audit assignments from planning and fieldwork through to completion
• Preparing management accounts
• Supporting clients with computerised and, where required, manual bookkeeping
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax computations
• Applying knowledge of capital allowances
• Liaising with clients and responding to routine accounting queries
• Maintaining accurate working papers and ensuring assignments are completed to the required standard
• Working closely with more senior colleagues while gradually taking on greater responsibility
