Job summary

Trial Balance, a Truro-based accountancy practice, is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare year-end and monthly accounts, and assist with personal and corporate tax returns, VAT, and bookkeeping. AAT qualification is preferred, but non-qualified applicants with relevant practice experience will be considered.

Reporting to a supportive manager, this role promises excellent career progression within a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification preferred; others will be considered.
• Accountancy practice experience required; technician or semi senior level.

Reporting into a friendly and supportive manager, your role will see you taking responsibility for the following duties:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, from sole traders to limited companies
• Year-end and monthly accounts preparation
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns
• VAT returns and bookkeeping
• Attending client meetings and dealing with queries

Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified, however those who do not hold a formal qualification will still be considered. The successful applicant must have recent previous accountancy practice experience and have worked at either Technician or Semi Senior level. This is a developing role offering excellent career progression in a fantastic working environment.
