Job summary

Trial Balance, a friendly and well‑run firm of Accountants, is looking for a Semi Senior or Senior to join a successful client‑facing practice in the South‑West. You will work with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies on statutory accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and tax compliance.

You'll need a strong practice background and may be studying AAT, ACA or ACCA, which the firm will fully support.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment is essential.
• Studying or intending to study AAT/ACA/ACCA supported by the employer.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and client queries with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for diverse client base.
• Produce management accounts and maintain books for multiple entities.
• Handle bookkeeping, VAT and tax compliance tasks.
• Assist clients with business queries and transition to online reporting (MTD).

Trial Balance has been assigned to recruit an experienced Semi Senior or Senior to join a very successful and well run firm of Accountants with a well established client base. Working with a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, you will undertake a varied workload of statutory accounts preparation, management accounts and bookkeeping, VAT and tax compliance, as well as assisting your clients with business related queries and the transition to online reporting systems to comply with MTD.

You will need to have a strong background in an accountancy practice environment to succeed in this role, and you may have completed or be undertaking AAT, ACA or ACCA studies, which will be fully supported by my client. You will also need to be very well presented, articulate and confident, as the role will involve significant contact with your client portfolio.
