Job summary

Chase & Holland, based in Sandtoft, Doncaster, is looking for an experienced Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join the busy finance team. The role blends purchase ledger, sales invoicing, payroll administration and broader finance support, with close teamwork alongside the Financial Controller.

You will process invoices, manage weekly payroll for around 50 staff, reconcile accounts and help drive improvements to finance and admin processes in a varied, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or Payroll Administrator roles.
• Strong Excel skills and accuracy using accounting systems.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with ability to prioritise.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices, raise purchase orders and resolve supplier queries.
• Prepare and raise customer invoices with accuracy and timely billing.
• Reconcile invoices against supporting documents and records.
• Administer weekly payroll for ~50 employees, including hours and allowances.
• Review timesheets, investigate discrepancies and resolve payroll queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and invoicing schedules.
• Assist with month-end finance activities and petty cash reconciliations.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
