Job summary

Chase & Holland is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join a busy finance team in Sandtoft, Doncaster. The role blends purchase ledger, sales invoicing, payroll administration and broader finance support, reporting to the Financial Controller and collaborating with operational teams.

The successful candidate will gain exposure across finance, payroll and operations in a growing, established business with a varied finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts & Payroll roles with purchase ledger and invoicing.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems proficiency.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in transport/logistics payroll advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices, raising purchase orders and resolving supplier queries.
• Preparing and raising customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely billing.
• Reconciling invoices against supporting documentation and operational records.
• Administering weekly payroll information for approximately 50 employees, including hours, overtime, allowances and adjustments.
• Reviewing timesheets, investigating discrepancies and resolving payroll queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records, invoicing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Completing petty cash reconciliations and assisting with month-end finance activities.
• Liaising with internal departments, suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
• Supporting improvements to existing finance and administrative processes.
