Job summary

FIRSTPORT is seeking an Assistant Accounts Payable Manager for a hybrid role based in the UK. The position offers 35 hours per week, with offices in New Milton or Worcester. You will supervise up to 8 direct reports within Estates Finance, driving AP processes, KPI reporting, and vendor compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and Excel skills, along with prior accounting or property management experience. AAT qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify and grow talent to fill future leadership positions.
• Coordinate and support AP team performance and records.
• Provide training to Team Leaders and AP staff.
• Produce AP reporting and monthly KPI reporting.
• Ensure CIS compliance and other regulatory requirements.
• Handle escalated inquiries relating to AP activities.
• Maintain orderly accounting files and records.
• Implement process improvements and system integrations.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee performance reviews, goal setting and training for the AP team.
• Authorize employees' expenses and entitlements.
• Model FIRST values and the Code of Business Conduct.
• Carry out additional ad-hoc duties within Estates Finance.
