Breedon Group plc is a leading construction materials supplier with operations across Great Britain, Ireland and the USA. We invite applications for an Accounts Payable Assistant at Lockington, Derbyshire, to support supplier set ups, payments and data maintenance, ensuring timely processing and strong financial controls.

The role requires attention to detail, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work well within a team and with senior stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High level of written and numerical literacy with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, organise and manage time.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a wider team, and take initiative.
• Experience working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Experience in AP end to end process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely processing of payment runs and supplier set up forms across thirteen business units.
• Assist in upkeep and maintenance of Master Data Records.
• Ensure all queries are dealt with to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Assist in organising incoming mail via email.
• Support the Accounts Payable Management Team.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively to seek approvals with senior management and directors.
• Assist the team with day-to-day tasks and ad-hoc duties.
