Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join a busy finance team on a 13-month maternity cover contract, with an immediate start available.

You will process high volumes of supplier invoices, manage payments including BACS and wires, and assist with month-end close, journal entries and reporting. Hybrid working after training, with 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable within a fast-paced environment.
• AAT Level 3 or studying (desirable).
• Polish language skills would be beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient with Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with AP reconciliations and balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities

Darlington DL1 30,000 - 34,-Month FTC ( possibility of permanent opportunities thereafter)

We're recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join a busy finance team on a 13-month maternity cover contract, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable role

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and process payments, including BACS and wire transfers
• Resolve supplier queries and invoice discrepancies
• Reconcile supplier statements and AP balance sheet accounts
• Analyse AP data and investigate outstanding GRNI balances
• Support month-end close activities, journals, and reporting
• Identify process improvements and support AP projects
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers

What We're Looking For

• Proven Accounts Payable experience within a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills, including:
  • Pivot Tables
  • VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
  • Data analysis and reconciliations
• Experience with AP reconciliations and balance sheet accounts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• AAT Level 3 qualified or studying (desirable, not essential)
• Dealing with European Accounts majority being with Poland. Polish Language skills would be highly beneficial but not essential
• Good communication skills are essential

• Hourly pay rate based on a salary of 30,000 - 34,000 ( weekly paid)

• Full Time 37.5 hrs week core hours are 8-4/9-5 but there is flexibility offered
