We are working with a privately-owned property investment company with a unique portfolio of residential properties based in Canary Wharf, seeking a proactive Accountant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Property Management Accounts Manager/Bookkeeper to join a leading independent lettings agency, based full-time in Canary Wharf.

The role involves full bookkeeping, client accounting, and management accounts, ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial transactions with vendors and clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent discrepancies.
  • Coordinate external audits, address queries, and implement recommendations.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices; implement necessary changes for compliance.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous accounts and bookkeeping experience essential.
  • Residential lettings and property management accounts experience essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good IT skills, including intermediate Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
