Job summary

Reed Practice seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee client work and lead the accounts team within a regional office of a national UK accounting brand. You will report to the Director and help shape day-to-day management, allowing focus on growth initiatives.

Your role involves meeting clients, mentoring staff, reviewing work, and prioritising workflow to meet deadlines, with coaching and technical guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified: AAT, ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing accounting services within a UK practice.
• Knowledge of FRS 102 (section A) and FRS 105.
• Experience in team management or readiness to step into a formal manager role.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients, providing accounting and tax services.
• Manage, mentor and support members of the accounts team.
• Review work prepared by staff of varying levels of experience.
• Delegate and prioritise workflow across the team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor team performance, providing coaching and technical guidance where required.
