Job summary

Reed Practice are working with the senior leadership team of a regional office for a national brand in UK Accounting. Our client is growing and recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee client work, manage and motivate the accounts team, and report directly to the Director.

You will meet with clients, provide accounting and tax services, mentor staff, review work, and delegate workflows to meet deadlines, enabling the Director to focus on sales.

Qualifications

• Qualified - AAT, ACA or ACCA - or by experience.
• Essential - experience at some point in your career, of providing accounting services within a UK practice, with knowledge of FRS 102 (section A) and FRS 105.
• We will consider those who have team management skills looking to step up to an official manager position or those managers feeling stale, seeking a fresh challenge.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients, providing accounting and tax services.
• Manage, mentor and support members of the accounts team.
• Review work prepared by staff of varying levels of experience.
• Delegate and prioritise workflow across the team to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor team performance, providing coaching and technical guidance where required.
