Job summary

Abbeygate Search Ltd is recruiting for a detail-focused ledger role where sales and purchase ledger work are central. You will ensure invoices and payments reflect what happened and work with colleagues to resolve discrepancies.

You’ll handle invoicing, supplier invoices, statements and payment queries, with a busy workload and opportunities to learn the business and take real ownership.

Experience in sales/purchase ledgers or accounts admin is valued; accountancy qualification not essential.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in sales ledger, purchase ledger or broader accounts administration.
• Accountancy qualification isn’t essential; relevant experience, accuracy and willingness to learn the business carry more weight.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and checking sales invoices against supporting information.
• Ensuring customers receive documents in the required format.
• Resolving missing information and billing queries with operational colleagues.
• Processing supplier invoices and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting supplier statement reconciliations and keeping ledger records accurate.
• Assisting with payment queries and credit control cover when needed.
