Job summary

Protalent is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Peterborough team as a Senior Accountant, focusing on statutory accounts and tax computations for owner-managed businesses.

You will manage a portfolio, lead junior staff, and collaborate with partners to deliver services efficiently, while developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Manage a portfolio of clients requiring statutory accounts and tax computations.
• Lead and develop junior staff, ensuring timely delivery of work within budget.
• Demonstrate proactive client development and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee year-end accounts and tax work for clients up to turnover £2m.
• Plan workload, allocate tasks, and monitor WIP and billing.
• Sign off on files and present to partners for final review.
• Maintain high-quality client relationships and drive growth.
