Job summary

Our client, Blusource Professional Services Ltd, a leading accountancy firm, is recruiting a Senior Accountant based in Peterborough. They are flexible on the level they hire at and may consider Semi-Senior or Assistant Manager grade, with part-time or full-time applications.

The role includes preparing statutory accounts, reviewing VAT, and assisting with personal tax. Hybrid working (2 days a week from home) is offered, with a strong salary and benefits dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in accordance with FRS102 and UK accounting standards, together with the corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist with personal tax compliance matters and identify planning opportunities.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
• Support clients with both general advice and software questions.
• Manage budgets and deadlines across the business.
• Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
• Mentor, train, and review the work of junior team members
