Job summary

Howett Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Ltd. is looking for an Accounts Assistant Manager to step up from a Senior role or an existing Assistant Manager seeking a new challenge.

The role involves taking ownership of a varied client portfolio, reviewing complex accounts and supporting the team on assignments from start to finish. You will develop management and advisory skills while working closely with Managers and Partners, with a view to progression to Accounts Manager as you take on more

Qualifications

• Strong UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience reviewing accounts and working papers.
• Experience supervising, supporting or developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review work of junior team members.
• Review statutory accounts and working papers.
• Review complex accounts under FRS 102.
• Review corporation tax computations.
• Manage deadlines, budgets and workflow.
• Be a key contact for clients and advise on accounting matters.
