Job summary

Hyra is hiring an Accounts Assistant Manager in Chichester to run and grow a diverse client portfolio within an established practice. You will lead junior staff, manage client relationships and work to high standards while developing advisory skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent experience in practice.
• Experience managing or supporting a portfolio of accounts clients.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and ability to manage from planning to completion.
• Experience supervising or delegating work to junior colleagues.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a client portfolio with deadlines and budgets.
• Plan assignments, define scope and fees.
• Prepare statutory accounts and mentor junior team members.
• Monitor work in progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain regular client communication and identify opportunities for advisory work.
• Contribute to business development and raise firm profile.
