Stoneacre is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join our fast-paced motor group. You will report to the Branch Accountant and manage daily cash, bank, purchase ledger and sales ledger processes with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will be part of a dealership team; training will be provided, and there are clear opportunities to progress with your balance sheet reconciliations as you grow in the role. We offer development and employee benefits including discounts.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be reliable and conscientious with Accounts experience.
• Keen to learn, with opportunities to progress into more in-depth balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience in the motor industry would be advantageous, including Kerridge, though full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling daily banking and bank statements.
• Purchase Ledger maintenance, processing invoices to nominal codes, reconciling supplier statements and setting up monthly BACS payments.
• Creating and processing a variety of payments using online banking.
• Processing customer refunds through the PDQ machine.
• Credit control - sending statements and chasing debtors, including vehicle debt, and producing a weekly debtor report.
• Processing Warranty Self Billing Invoices and Finance Commission statements.
• Petty cash control and monthly reconciliation.
• Processing manufacturer bonus Self Billing Invoices and credit notes.
