We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for a someone who wants to undertake our apprenticeship programme to become AAT qualified. It is principally an Accounts Assistant role, providing support to our accounts payable function for our UK Pathways business. The role will have key responsibilities in the day to day running of the business, working closely with the rest of the Accounts Payables Team to ensure smooth running of the expenditure process. There is regular day to day and weekly tasks but also ad-hoc work to ensure no two days are the same.

What you’ll bring to the role
Have an interest in finance & accountancy/business or work experience in a finance role.
Have the aptitude to learn new concepts and tasks quickly.
Be a critical thinker, with high attention to detail, a good ability to self-review, and be able to work with accuracy when under pressure.
Be capable of working to deadlines and being able to manage your workload effectively when there is time pressure (such as payment due dates and month-end).
Enjoy working with systems, including finance systems, and be interested in process improvement to ensure your work is always efficient and effective.
Be very comfortable working with Excel (working knowledge of pivot tables, sumifs/vlookup/xlookup).
Be a clear and confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills so that you can work effectively with colleagues in the finance team.
