Join Our Team as an Accounts Assistant!


We're on the lookout for a dynamic Accounts Assistant to join our Finance/Accounting Team at our client's European headquarters in London! This is a temporary, full-time position that promises to provide you with invaluable experience and opportunities for growth.


️ Location: St Katherine's Dock (hybrid)


Position Type: Temporary, Full Time


Role Purpose:


In this exciting role, you'll play a vital part in processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and managing expenses for the organisation. As part of a collaborative team, you'll liaise with both internal and external parties, ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:


Your day-to-day tasks will include:



Invoice Processing: Handling multi-currency purchase ledger invoices for various vessels, both electronically and by post.



Monitoring Systems: Keeping the I2P Mariapps system updated and addressing any supplier payment queries.



Accounts Payable/Receivable: Reconciliation of accounts payable ledger accounts and performing account payable reconciliations.



Cashier Function: Managing outstanding invoice lists for approvals.



Financial Reporting: Conducting balance sheet reconciliations related to agent advances.



General Duties: Data processing, filing, photocopying, and other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • SMBC Bank Interface / SG Bank

  • MS Office (Excel & Word)

Qualifications/Experience:



  • - 1-2 years of accounts payable experience

  • - A broad understanding of accounting principles



Technical Competencies:



  • - Good IT skills, particularly in Excel (basic level required)

  • - Familiarity with Mariapps and shipping experience is a plus!
