Hybrid Role: 3 days in the office, salary range £35,000-£40,000

Location: South London

Our client, a family-run boutique legal firm, is seeking an experienced Account Assistant. The primary focus of this role will be credit control, invoicing, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the company's bookkeeper to ensure meticulous handling of all accounting responsibilities.

We are looking for a candidate who is collaborative, forward-thinking, system-savvy, and capable of introducing new ideas or improving processes.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and execute the credit control process, including drafting reports and engaging with supervising lawyers.
  2. Assist with invoicing, including creating timesheets, drafting invoices, and covering emails.
  3. Contribute to the firm's cyclical financial reporting.
  4. Manage the firm's exposure reporting and follow-up actions.
  5. Process client payments.
  6. Enter transactions onto client ledgers.
  7. Oversee quarterly and annual audits.
  8. Perform any other activities reasonably within this role.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Solid experience in credit control.
  • Good understanding of Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Methodical approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with bespoke systems.
