At University College London (UCL), one of the world’s leading universities, we’re proud to deliver excellence in research, teaching, and professional services. Our Finance Department is a centralised service supporting the entire institution. We’re committed to providing high-quality, efficient financial operations that align with UCL’s values—fairness, inclusiveness, and sustainability. As part of our Accounts Payable team, you’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive environment where your work has real impact across the university.
This role is within our Accounts Payable section and focuses on ensuring the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices. Responsibilities include matching invoices to purchase orders, resolving exceptions and queries, and maintaining communication with suppliers and departments. The role also involves managing helpdesk queries, reconciling supplier statements, and approving payments using our Oracle-based financial system. The ideal candidate will work methodically, uphold financial regulations, and contribute to a team that supports the financial backbone of a large, complex institution.
We seek someone energetic, accurate, and customer service-oriented. Experience in a similar Accounts Payable role is essential, along with confidence in using Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications and experience in customer service are advantageous but not mandatory. Most importantly, you should have excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach, and strong communication skills. If you thrive in a structured, process-driven environment and value diversity and inclusion, we encourage you to apply.
