Accounts Assistant

Well-regarded international law firm, recognized for its innovative pro bono work, is hiring an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic and inclusive team.

  • Salary up to £36,000
  • Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
  • Working hours: 09:30-17:30

  • Location: Liverpool Street / Bank / City

This role involves supporting the Accounts Supervisor within a Finance team of 8 in the London office. The main responsibilities include ensuring all disbursements and vendor invoices for the international offices are processed accurately and timely, collaborating with partners, employees, and the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all disbursements for approval and export disbursements into Aderant once approved
  • Set up vendors for disbursements
  • Coordinate third-party currency invoices, send to global exchange, and upload into Aderant
  • Upload international office invoices monthly and process cash receipts
  • Perform bank reconciliations for international offices
  • Process and pay international office expenses and BYOD payments
  • Execute daily payment runs to ensure timely disbursements, including bills paid to clients
  • Send remittances for Counsel fees and request VAT receipts from Counsel

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous accounts experience in a law firm
  • Knowledge of Aderant or similar legal accounts software; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Competent in PDF conversion and editing using Adobe or similar tools
