Job summary

The Travel Corporation in Port Glasgow, Scotland, invites an Accounts Analyst to join our hybrid finance team. You will support the month-end close, assist with journal postings, reconciliations and data validation to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in finance, strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Oracle R12). You will work with AP, AR, and GL colleagues to deliver high-quality reporting and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Journal Support – Prepare and post standard and recurring journal entries.
• Account Reconciliations – Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals posting, journal entries reclassification and investigate variances.
• Data Validation – Support data checks for integrity across subledgers and reporting tools.
• Reporting Support – Assist with internal reporting packs and close documentation.
• Cross-Team Collaboration – Work with AP, AR, and GL teams to resolve open items and improve data accuracy.

POSITION SUMMARY

As TTC’s Accounts Analyst, you will support core accounting and reporting activities across the month-end close cycle. You’ll assist in journal postings, reconciliations, and financial data validation, working with the wider finance team to ensure accurate, timely, and well-controlled financial reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Journal Support – Prepare and post standard and recurring journal entries.
• Account Reconciliations – Perform balance sheet reconciliations, acrruals posting, journal entries reclassification and investigate variances.
• Data Validation – Support data checks for integrity across subledgers and reporting tools.

ROLE SUCCESS CRITERIA

• Timeliness and accuracy of journal entries.
• % of reconciliations completed on time.
• Number of unresolved variances aged >30 days.
• Quality and completeness of reporting inputs.
• Stakeholder satisfaction with accounting support.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

• 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (ideally Oracle R12).Understanding of core accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Proactive attitude toward problem-solving and data integrity.
