Zurich is offering a one-year Accounting Industrial Placement in Whiteley for undergraduates. You will gain real responsibility and learn from industry experts, with a buddy/mentor at the start.

You’ll work on real projects like process transformation and MI development, improving financial support to the business while grounding in accounting fundamentals. Hybrid work and strong training are provided.

Qualifications

• Indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK.
• Numeric degree preferred but not required.
• Predicted 2:1 placement year degree at university.
• Minimum 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Levels (or equivalent).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Hybrid work arrangement; be able to work in office for training.

In addition to departmental day-to-day activities, you can expect to be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing MI for management,all whilebeing grounded in the accounting that forms the backbone of our profession

What you’ll need:

You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.

As Accounting is based in numbers, we prefer a numeric degree, but this isn’t a requirement. A passion for becoming an effective accountant ismoreimportant.

Predicted 2:1(or equivalent) placement year degree at university.

At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent).

A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).

Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance to your assigned office workplace stated in this advert. At the beginning of the scheme you’ll need to work full-time in the office. This will help with face-to-face training, building your personal brand and broadening your network. Depending on the team you are placed in, there may be a requirement to work in the office for most of the working week.
