Zurich is offering a 12-month Accounting Industrial Placement Programme in Whiteley. You will work on real accounting projects, gain hands-on experience, and receive mentorship from senior managers. The role targets undergraduates with strong numerical skills and a drive to develop professionally within finance.

You will be part of a hybrid-working environment, with initial in-office training and opportunities to contribute to business-critical tasks across the accounting function.

In addition to departmental day-to-day activities, you can expect to be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing MI for management,all whilebeing grounded in the accounting that forms the backbone of our profession

What you’ll need:

• You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.
• As Accounting is based in numbers, we prefer a numeric degree, but this isn’t a requirement. A passion for becoming an effective accountant ismoreimportant.
• Predicted 2:1(or equivalent) placement year degree at university.
• At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent).
• A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
• Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance to your assigned office workplace stated in this advert. At the beginning of the scheme you’ll need to work full-time in the office. This will help with face-to-face training, building your personal brand and broadening your network. Depending on the team you are placed in, there may be a requirement to work in the office for most of the working week.
