Zurich is offering an Accounting Summer Internship for 2027 in Whiteley. This 10-week programme provides real responsibility and a taste of life in insurance, with exposure to projects in accounting and financial analysis.

You will learn from senior managers, have a buddy/mentor, and may progress to graduate programmes in 2027. Applicants must be UK-resident undergraduates, in penultimate year, and meet UCAS/GCSE criteria.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing accounting or a numeric degree.
• Penultimate year of study; strong academic track record.
• Minimum 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Levels (excl. general studies).
• GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work on real projects that deliver value to the business and customers.

As an Accounting Intern you will have the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills, while learning from industry experts and senior managers who take a keen interest in your growth. In addition to your department's day-to-day activities, you can expect to be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing MI for management, all whilebeing grounded in the accounting that forms the backbone of our profession.

What you’ll need:

You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.

You must be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study and on track for a predicted 2:1 (or equivalent)

• As Accounting is based in numbers, we prefer a numeric degree, but this isn’t a requirement. A passion for becoming an effective accountant ismoreimportant.

At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent) excluding general studies.

A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).

Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance to the office workplace stated in this advert. At the beginning of the scheme you’ll need to work full-time in the office. This will help with face-to-face training, building your personal brand and broadening your network. Depending on the team you are placed in, there may be a requirement to work in the office for most of the working week.
