Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains is recruiting a Level 3 Accounting Apprentice to support month-end close, cashflow and asset activities while learning UK GAAP and FIA Financial Regulations. You will work closely with the Finance Team to develop essential accounting skills and business understanding.

Responsibilities

• Month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack.
• Processing daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalization, disposals and verification.
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing overdue debt and analysis.
• Preparation of inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts.
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and dashboards for the wider Finance team.
• Assisting the Company Accountant with data for external audit and ad hoc analysis.

Job description

Our Finance Team is much more than a support function. As a key business partner, the department works collaboratively across HPP to help teams make informed strategic decisions that drive performance on and off the track. Working closely with departments across the organisation, the team balances budgets, forecasts future investment, and ensures resources are used effectively within the sport's cost cap regulations, helping maximise every opportunity to compete at the highest level.

We are looking for a Level 3 Accounting Apprentice

Purpose of the role is to…

• Month end close, including Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal postings and consolidating approval pack
• Assistance in processing daily banking and cashflow reporting.
• Fixed asset maintenance including capitalisation, disposals and verification.
• Accounts Receivable processes; raising on sales orders, chasing of overdue debt and analysis
• Assistance in preperation of Inventory adjustment documents and annual stock counts, ensuring correct process is followed.
• Preparation of monthly KPI reports and Dashboards for the wider Finance team.
• Assisting the Company Accountant with preparation of data for External Audit and Ad Hoc analysis.
