Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team on the outskirts of Horsham, West Sussex. The role focuses on supporting financial analysis and monthly management accounts, with office-based work and onsite parking.

You will handle foreign currency invoices, daily bank transactions across multiple accounts, stock reconciliations, and daily accounts payable. Strong communication and experience with Sage/Intacct are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Management Accounting role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with online accounting packages such as Sage and Intacct

Responsibilities

• Process foreign currency invoices and payments
• Process daily bank transactions across Main, Deposit, Reserve, USD, and EUR accounts
• Monitor and maintain stock and stock reconciliations
• Manage invoicing and accounts payable daily
• Weekly balance sheet reconciliations for all bank accounts
• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month end management accounts and update cash flow
• Conduct financial analysis such as annual budget process and cash flow monitoring

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced, Assistant Accountant to join a company based just outside of Horsham, West Sussex. The Assistant Accountant will join a small Finance team, supporting with financial analysis and monthly management accounts.

Location: Outskirts of Horsham, West Sussex. Office based. Parking is available onsite.

Salary: £37-40K

Hours: 8.30-5 / 9-5.30

Assistant Accountant duties:

• Process foreign currency invoices and payments
• Process daily bank transactions across Main, Deposit, Reserve, USD, and EUR accounts
• Monitor and maintain stock and stock reconciliations
• Manage the invoicing, accounts payable daily
• Weekly balance sheet reconciliations for all bank accounts
• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting month end management accountsUpdate and maintaining cash flow
• Financial analysis tasks such as: the annual budget process and review, monitor cash flow etc.

Skills and experience:

• Experience working in a similar Assistant Accountant or Management Accounting role and be part qualified CIMA
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Experience with online accounting packages such as; Sage, Intact
