Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant - Assistant Accountant to join a business based in the Horsham, West Sussex area. The Finance Assistant - Assistant Accountant will support the Financial Controller with important day-to-day financial tasks. Location: Office based – Horsham, West Sussex.

Salary: £27 K. Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5. The role requires experience in a similar position and ACCA/CIMA or AAT study, with strong communication skills to assist with audits,

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Assistant Accountant or Finance Assistant role.
• AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA student keen to study.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and prepare the monthly payment run.
• Assist with the annual year-end statutory audit.
• Support with bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records.
• Assist with analysing the management accounts.
• Raise and control the issue of purchase orders.
