Job summary

Pro Talent is recruiting an Accounts Senior for its Uckfield, East Sussex office. The role offers hybrid working and a salary up to £45,000, with a client-focused portfolio and clear progression opportunities.

You will manage your own owner-managed and SME client portfolio, work on tax and more complex accounting tasks alongside managers and partners, and help develop junior team members in a supportive independent-practice environment.

Qualifications

• Accounts preparation experience in UK practice.
• Sound knowledge of UK accounting standards.
• Good organisation and confidence dealing with clients.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own client portfolio and handling their day-to-day accounting queries.
• Preparing year-end and management accounts for owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns, with some personal tax work.
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and sorting out discrepancies.
• Supporting managers and partners on more complex assignments.
• Helping to develop junior members of the team.

A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Uckfield is looking for an Accounts Senior to join its accounts team. It still has the personal feel of a long-standing independent practice, but it's now part of a larger, growing group. That means real investment, specialists to lean on and more room to progress than you'd usually find in a firm this size.

You'll look after your own portfolio of owner-managed and SME clients and be their go-to contact day to day. There's plenty of variety, proper client contact, and the chance to get stuck into tax and more complex work alongside managers and partners.

What you'll be doing
