Job summary

ProTalent Limited is recruiting an Accounts Semi-Senior in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Hybrid role with permanent, full-time hours. You will manage a portfolio of clients, preparing year-end accounts and tax computations while developing through your exams.

Part-qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA or studying is required, with prior practice experience and strong Excel/MS Office skills. The firm supports training and career progression with a friendly team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare personal and corporation tax computations.
• Assist with corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Support audit engagements and fieldwork.
• Liaise with clients by phone and email.
• Help and guide junior team members.

ABOUT THE FIRM

My client is a well-established local practice that's part of a large UK and Ireland accountancy and business advisory group. It's a friendly, close-knit office, but you've got the training, resources and specialist colleagues of a much bigger organisation behind you, which is a great setup when you're still building your skills.

THE ROLE

You'll prepare year-end accounts and tax computations for a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, working closely with the seniors and managers. There's also some audit fieldwork, so you get a broader grounding than a pure accounts role. As you grow, you'll start helping the juniors too.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing personal and corporation tax computations
• Helping with corporation tax and VAT returns
• Supporting audit engagements, including fieldwork
• Dealing directly with clients by phone and email
• Helping and guiding junior team members

WHO THIS WILL SUIT
