Job summary

ProTalent Limited in the Uckfield area is seeking an experienced accountant for a hybrid, permanent role. You will own a portfolio of owner-managed and SME clients, preparing year-end and management accounts, and handling tax matters in a supportive, collaborative firm.

You will supervise and train junior staff while assisting managers and partners with more complex assignments, in a well-established group that still offers a friendly, close-knit culture.

Qualifications

• You are AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• You have worked a client portfolio in practice.
• You enjoy owning client relationships and detail-oriented work.

Uckfield, East Sussex, hybrid | Permanent | Up to £47,500 depending on experience

Are you a qualified accountant, or qualified by experience, with a strong practice background and ready for a portfolio you can really own? This is a varied, client-facing supervisor role with a well-established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, part of a growing national group but still small enough that everyone knows one another.

You will run your own portfolio of owner-managed and SME clients, prepare and review year-end and management accounts, get involved in corporation and personal tax, and be the day-to-day point of contact your clients rely on. You will also support the managers and partners on more complex work, and help bring on the junior team through review, guidance and training.
