Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is supporting a growing accountancy practice in Crawley with the recruitment of an Accounts Senior / Client Manager to join their team. This flexible opportunity can be tailored to your experience and career ambitions, offering real ownership of a client portfolio and scope to step into a Client Manager capacity under senior guidance.

You'll work alongside experienced Managers and Senior Managers, handling accounts prep, VAT, tax support and client liaison, with a clear path

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience across accounts preparation.
• Experience with bookkeeping and VAT.
• Good knowledge of general practice work.
• A client focused approach and strong communication skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
• An interest in developing and supporting more junior members of the team.
• AAT Level 4, ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous, but we are also open to candidates who are qualified by experience.
• Experience with CCH, Sage, Xero or QuickBooks would be beneficial, although full training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing year end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, charities and limited companies
• Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting with tax computations
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Bookkeeping and general accounting duties
• Managing your own portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
• Building and maintaining strong, long term client relationships
• Dealing with client queries and providing practical accounting support
• Reviewing work completed by more junior members of the team
• Supporting, training and mentoring junior staff
• Assisting Managers and Senior Managers with more complex assignments and ad hoc projects
• Working collaboratively with other specialist teams within the wider business

Job description

TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice with the recruitment of an Accounts Senior / Client Manager to join their Crawley team.

This is a flexible opportunity that can be tailored to the experience and ambitions of the successful candidate.

The role would suit an AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified Accounts Senior looking to continue developing their career, as well as a fully qualified or experienced Accountant looking to take ownership of their own portfolio of clients and operate in a Client Manager capacity.

Working alongside experienced Managers and Senior Managers, you will have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for your own portfolio, build strong client relationships and become a trusted point of contact for your clients.

The Role
