Overview of Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team as an Account Planner. The role is highly autonomous, allowing you to enhance your expertise as a media planner across a range of award-winning brands. You will significantly contribute to the strategic planning and delivery of multichannel campaigns, gaining responsibilities that will help you develop into a well-rounded planner. You will be part of a strong team committed to delivering best-in-class planning work, pushing industry boundaries, and maximizing client business returns—an excellent environment for career growth.

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the Account Director / Senior Associate Director.

Measures of Success

In three months, you will:

  • Become an expert in your client’s account and sector.
  • Integrate into the Planning and Implementation teams.
  • Participate in client meetings and ensure accuracy of status reports.
  • Act as the lead day-to-day contact for key clients and team members.
  • Understand the department structure and key figures.
  • Contribute effectively to team workload.

In six months, you will:

  • Build strong client relationships and become a key account lead.
  • Support wider teams and build trust across departments.
  • Understand your client’s market and how to approach briefs.
  • Implement improved ways of working.

In 12 months, you will:

  • Contribute to broader projects and become a media planning expert.
  • Develop insights into the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Establish trusted relationships with clients and agencies.
  • Help deliver excellent client service scores and contribute to award entries.
Responsibilities of the Role

  • Demonstrate expertise in planning systems and tools.
  • Learn digital, data, and marketing technology to drive growth.
  • Be the team’s go-to for audience and category insights.
  • Participate in strategic sessions and ensure seamless planning processes.

2. Growing Our Business

  • Understand EssenceMediacom’s functions and growth drivers.
  • Support new business opportunities.
  • Maintain financial health of accounts.
  • Assist in new business pitches.

3. Growing Our People

  • Support development of team members.
  • Promote team achievements internally and externally.
  • Contribute to agency-wide initiatives.

4. Growing Yourself

  • Learn new skills annually and apply them to client work.
What You Will Need
