Job summary

CMS Distribution in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic sales professional with a passion for technology to promote our extensive cables and accessory products to new and existing customers.

You will develop long-term relationships, proactively pursue new business, and drive monthly targets while liaising with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and a high level of service. The role includes a bonus structure for meeting targets and bringing on new business.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an internal sales or field sales role.
  • Commercial and business awareness with a strong level of negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills –written and verbally, face-to-face and remotely.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales targets set each month.
  • Maintain an agreed level of proactive telephone contact daily basis.
  • To pro-actively seek new business (White Space) by prospecting existing customers and new customers.
  • Meet and exceed agreed performance objectives & KPI’s.
  • Maximise sales by continually expanding opportunities with upsell & cross sellingskills.
  • Ensure that systems are up to date for all communications in relation to your account base and all business opportunities.
  • Continually develop your product and technical knowledge to industry standard including: Completion of vendor accreditations, Pipeline management, Quarterly Sales Plan with SMART objectives.
  • Communicate and articulate our value proposition and strategy to prospects and customers to differentiate us from its competitors.
  • Always act as an ambassador and representative to ensure a professional image for the Company.
  • Develop excellent relationships with allocated customer contacts. Use all sales support resources and departments to maximise the customer's experience.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that systems are up to date for all communications in relation to your accountbase and all business opportunities. This includes profiling your customers anddeveloping an awareness of their business structure, key contacts and target markets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of all quotations, to build a pipeline ofopportunities.
  • Ensuring that all customers are provided with accurate, proposals, collateral and otherinformation as required.
  • Continually develop your product and technical knowledge to industry standardincluding:
    • Completion of vendor accreditations.
    • Pipeline management.
    • Ensure you have an up to date Quarterly Sales Plan, which is clearly communicated, manageable, and measurable by company standards. This will include regular individual reviews with your manager or team leader and the setting of SMART objectives.
    • Communicate and articulate our value proposition and strategy to prospects and customers to differentiate us from its competitors. Maintain high levels of customer service ensuring that we remain a valued and key supplier.
    • Always act as an ambassador and representative to ensure a professional image for the Company. Actively contribute and act as a role model to our values.
    • Develop excellent relationships with allocated customer contacts. Use all sales support resources and departments to maximise the customer's experience.
