DNA Recruit is partnering with a shopper marketing agency in Leeds to hire a proactive Client Manager. In a hybrid Leeds-based role, you will act as the main interface between clients and the agency, translating briefs into actionable plans and ensuring projects stay on track.

You will manage client relationships, coordinate creative and project teams, and monitor revenue against budgets, with a focus on FMCG and shopper marketing. A strong communicator with commercial acumen will thrive here.

Client Manager – Shopper Marketing Agency – Leeds (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced Client Manager with a passion for marketing, creativity and building strong client relationships?

DNA Recruit is working with an established and highly regarded independent shopper marketing agency to find an energetic and curious Client Manager to join its UK Client Services team.

The agency works with major FMCG brands, helping them connect with shoppers through innovative shopper marketing solutions, retailer partnerships and creative campaigns.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of client relationships, understanding business challenges and working collaboratively with creative and project teams to deliver impactful work.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key interface between clients, the agency and wider project teams.
• Coordinate agency responses to client briefs and ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
• Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, brands and challenges.
• Work closely with creative and project teams to translate client requirements into effective solutions.
• Prepare project cost estimates and track project revenue.
• Manage project information and ensure clear communication between clients and agency teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and partners.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and maximise commercial opportunities.
• Stay up to date with marketing, shopper behaviour and industry developments.

Skills & Experience Required

• 2+ years of relevant experience within an agency environment.
• Experience in Client Management / Account Management.
• Creative project management experience.
• FMCG or shopper marketing experience would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• The confidence to manage client expectations and have honest, constructive conversations.
• A genuine passion for marketing, creativity and understanding consumer and shopper behaviour.
• A curious mindset, with the ability to ask questions and get into the detail of a client's business.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

About You

The successful candidate will be naturally curious, commercially aware and genuinely interested in understanding both clients and shoppers. You'll be someone who can build strong relationships while also having the confidence to challenge, question and provide honest advice when needed. You'll enjoy bringing people together, simplifying complex challenges and helping creative and project teams deliver excellent work. Most importantly, the agency is looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm and a collaborative attitude. Agency experience is important, but personality, curiosity and a willingness to learn are equally valued.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
