Account Handler

Description

In this role, you will work within the FINEX National Professional Indemnity team, providing outstanding client service and support to a diverse portfolio of SME clients across various sectors, including but not limited to; Miscellaneous, Design and Construction, Architects, Engineers, Accountants, and Independent Financial Advisers.

You will be based in the Ipswich office, working as part of an established team of Account Handlers/Executives across Ipswich and Manchester. Your responsibilities include managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring retention and development, and delivering expert advice to meet client needs.

The role involves utilizing established PI facilities and the open market, working closely with Network Brokers, Willis Towers Watson (WTW) Retail GB teams, and maintaining direct client relationships. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing strong client relationships and understanding their insurance needs.
  2. Providing day-to-day client service and responding to queries.
  3. Arranging mid-term adjustments as needed.
  4. Preparing broking documentation and negotiating terms with insurers.
  5. Familiarizing with facility wordings.
  6. Meeting client retention targets, cross-selling, and up-selling where appropriate.
  7. Encouraging new business referrals from existing clients.
  8. Managing workflows and ensuring system updates for compliance.
  9. Collaborating with Mumbai and A&S teams for service delivery and premium settlement.
  10. Adhering to business policies, procedures, and FCA principles.
  11. Maintaining organized electronic files within CEM guidelines.
  12. Supporting accurate revenue forecasting and tracking.

The Requirements

  • Experience in Professional Indemnity insurance is beneficial but not essential.
  • High levels of client service delivery skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Strong workload management and prioritization skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Integrity and credibility in representing WTW.
  • Experience with processes and systems supporting client service.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Knowledge of WTW products and services.
  • Understanding of insurance markets to serve clients effectively.
